BP spent $25 million on BTC operations for 1st quarter

May 12, Fineko/abc.az. BP Azerbaijan has published a report for Jan-Mar 2020.

ABC.AZ informs with reference to the report that in 1st quarter the operating expenses on Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan (BTC) amounted to about $25 million and capital expenditures about $3 million.

When the 1,768 km BTC pipeline was commissioned in June 2006, more than 455 million tons (3.41 billion barrels) of crude oil were transported through the pipeline by the end of the 1st quarter of 2020 and 4,457 tankers were shipped to world markets.

During the quarter BTC exported about 7.7 million tons (more than 58 million barrels) of crude oil and condensate and loaded 76 tankers to Ceyhan. Currently, the BTC pipeline transports mainly oil from Azerbaijan's ACG field and condensate from Shah Deniz. In addition, other volumes of crude oil and condensate, including Turkmen, Russian and Kazakh oil, are carried via the BTC.
