Oil rises in price after last week’s decline, and Brent is at $40.10 a barrel

October 5, Fineko/abc.az. Benchmark oil prices are growing on Monday after last week’s noticeable decline.

By 9:21 am, at the London ICE Futures Exchange the Brent crude futures for December increased by $0.83 (2.11%) up to $40.10 per barrel. At the end of trading on 2 October the price of Brent crude futures for December slumped by $1.66 (4.1%) to $39.27 per barrel.

By 9:20 am, at the New York Mercantile Exchange (NYMEX) the WTI oil futures for November grew in price by $0.89 (2.40%) up to $37.94 per barrel. At the end of trading on 2 October the November WTI futures fell in price by $1.67 (4.3%) to $37.05 per barrel.

Last week, crude Brent declined by 8% and WTI by 7.4%.
