October 6, Fineko/abc.az. Today, President Ilham Aliyev received Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu.

ABC.AZ reports that during the meeting the head of state touched upon a number of issues.

The country’s leader noted that such a fraternal country as Turkey, being a great force on a global scale, is close to Azerbaijan: "This support inspires us, gives us additional strength and at the same time plays an important role in ensuring stability and calm in the region. These days, I said that Turkey plays a stabilizing role in the region. Turkey's policy, which is designed only for peace in the region and the world, is already producing results, both in the Middle East and in the Caucasus. Therefore, the situation that has developed today in connection with another Armenian attack shows once again that Turkey has weight both in the region and in the world. Of course, this inspires us and gives us strength. Today, both our peoples and the whole world see what Turkish-Azerbaijani unity means."
