November 24, Fineko/abc.az. At the next plenary session of Milli Majlis autumn session the draft amendment to the Law on Environmental Protection was submitted for discussion in the 2nd reading.

ABC.AZ reports that the amendment proposed in the document prohibits entrepreneurs from importing, manufacturing, trading, selling and issuing plastic bags up to 15 microns thick, as well as plastic mixing rods, forks, knives, plates and glasses intended for single use to consumers at public catering and service facilities.

The bill on plastic bags is proposed to take effect from 1 January 2021, and for other products intended for single use from 1 July 2021.

The draft law amendment was adopted in the 2nd reading after discussion.
