September 27, Fineko/abc.az. The Georgian government proposes to create a platform in Tbilisi for permanent contacts between high-ranking officials of Azerbaijan and Armenia.

ABC.AZ reports that this was stated by Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Garibashvili at a briefing.

The PM noted that in June a humanitarian operation was carried out to return 15 Armenian prisoners in exchange for maps of mined territories, and Tbilisi acted as mediator in this operation.

“It was an unprecedented event. Since gaining independence, Georgia has never been mediator between the two neighboring countries. We have successfully completed this task," the PM said.
