Central Bank raised accounting rate

October 29, Fineko/abc.az. The Board of the Central Bank of Azerbaijan has made a decision to raise the accounting rate.

CBA chairman Elman Rustamov informed at a press conference that the accounting rate has been increased by 0.5 percentage points - from 6.5% up to 7%.

He added that the lower limit of the percentage corridor was maintained at 6%, and the upper limit was increased from 7% up to 8%.

This decision comes into force from today.

CBA’s next decision on the parameters of the interest rate corridor will be made public on 17 December.
