May 13, Fineko/abc.az. The import and sale of mass media products, components of books and textbooks, as well as paper related to the production and publication of these products in Azerbaijan are exempt from VAT.

ABC.AZ reports that now VAT in the amount of 18% will not be levied on the import and sale of books, newspapers, magazines and paper products related to their production. In this regard, today, on 13 May, the Prime Minister signed a relevant resolution.

By presidential decree, the Cabinet Ministers was tasked to approve the list of relevant amendments to the Tax Code in December last year. This decision will stimulate the development of printed products at the expense of essential reduction of its prime cost and production costs.
