May 1, Fineko/abc.az. Although the number of people infected with coronavirus has decreased over the past two weeks, there has been a slight increase during the mitigation period. Two opposite trends were observed.

ABC.AZ reports that the above-said statement was made by Cabinet Ministers’ spokesman Ibrahim Mammadov at a briefing.

He noted that as a result of the efforts of doctors, the situation is under control.

Mammadov points out that the quarantine regime has been extended until 31 May, while a decision on its easing was made on some districts of the country.

"In four cities where cases of infection are high, the exit from the quarantine will be carried out gradually. And in other districts, the exit will be quick. In Baku, Sumgait, Ganja, Lankaran and Absheron regions, the special quarantine regime is eased to a lesser extent," Mammadov said.
