Classes at national conservatory suspended – rector infected with coronavirus

April 12, Fineko/abc.az. The rector of the Azerbaijan National Conservatory, People's Artist Siyavush Kerimi, was infected with the coronavirus (Covid-19).

ABC.AZ reports that this was stated by Kerimi himself.

He said that he felt unwell eight days ago: "The test result for coronavirus was positive. I’m in good health and continue to receive treatment at home. It's all right."

The head of conservatory’s press service, Anar Beylyarov, said that due to Covid-19, full-time classes were suspended at the educational institution. According to the spokesman, the results of the test of three employees of the conservatory for Covid-19 turned out positive.

"Due to the increase in the number of infections, from today, on behalf of the rector, full-time classes were suspended for an indefinite period. They will be continued online," Beylyarov said.
