February 2, Fineko/abc.az. Baku hosts a youth forum dedicated to the 25th anniversary of the Azerbaijani Youth Day.

ABC.AZ reports that President Ilham Aliyev took part in the event.

Country’s head made an introductory speech at the forum. He noted that Azerbaijan celebrates the Youth Day:

"I would like to cordially congratulate you and all Azerbaijani youth on this event. 25 years ago, by order of national leader Heydar Aliyev, the Youth Day was established in Azerbaijan, and since then we’ve been celebrating this day on 2 February. A year before, the first Youth Forum was organized in Azerbaijan on the initiative of Heydar Aliyev. Since then, youth policy has always been among the priorities of the state. Since then, a generation has changed, and the young people who are sitting in this hall today were either not born yet or were young children at that time. The generation has changed, and Azerbaijan has changed."
