AZAL lost over AZN 76 million in 2020

May 18, Fineko/abc.az. The net loss of Azerbaijan Airlines (AZAL) for 2020 amounted to AZN 76.415 million (3% less than in 2019).

ABC.AZ reports that the company ended 2019 with net loss of AZN 78.77 million. Thus, compared with 2019, AZAL's net loss in 2020 decreased by 3%.

For comparison, AZAL's revenues from transportation and other services in 2019 totaled AZN 1.8 bn, in 2020 – AZN 335.236 million (3-fold less). The decline in income is linked with restrictions imposed in connection with the coronavirus pandemic.
