Finland closes the border for Russians

16:21 - 29.09.2022

September 29, Fineko/abc.az. Finland prohibits Russian tourists from entering the country against the background of the announcement of partial mobilization in the Russian Federation, ABC.AZ reports with reference to newspaper Helsingin Sanomat.

The reason for the closure of borders for Russians is the assessment of the security situation by the foreign policy leadership, which has deteriorated significantly as a result of the mobilization of Russia. The security situation is also affected, in particular, by Russia's war in Ukraine and recent attacks on gas pipelines.

The government notes that the entry of Russian citizens endangers Finland's international relations. As a result, the entry of Russians on tourist visas may be rejected or canceled.
