Value of CBA notes in circulation exceeds AZN 1 bn first time

May 11, Fineko/abc.az. On May 10, the value of the notes of the Central Bank of Azerbaijan (CBA) in circulation exceeded AZN 1 bn for the first time since February 24, 2023.

ABC.AZ reports with reference to the CBA that the total value of the notes increased by AZN 60 million compared with May 4 and reached AZN 1.2 bn.

The CBA has been implementing new monetary policy since September 1, 2022. In addition to the 28-day notes, 84, 168, 252-day notes were issued. Currently, the annual yield of the notes is 7.37%, 7.74%, 8.26% and 8.9%, respectively.
