Azerbaijan increases oil and gas export

April 16, Fineko/abc.az. The State Oil Company of Azerbaijan (SOCAR) exported 5.79 million tons of oil in the 1st quarter.

SOCAR reports that during this period gas export amounted to 3.16 bn cu m that is by 27% more versus the same term of 2018.

"The main cause of the increase in gas export by both the state and SOCAR is the beginning of gas supplies from within Shah Deniz Project 2 to Turkey. To date, the South Caucasus gas pipeline has carried 1.4 bn cu m of gas for commercial purposes," the Company informed.

Export of oil and petrochemical products for Jan-Mar amounted to 456,379 tons with a rise of 10.5% compared to the same term of last year.
