A regular round of negotiations on the draft agreement between Azerbaijan and the European Union (EU) in the field of trade, investment, and energy has been conducted in Brussels.

The Ministry of Energy informs that MoE Legal Cooperation Department’s senior consultant Aygun Aliyeva represented the Ministry in negotiations.

"In the course of talks the parties exchange views on sections "Trade & Sustainable Development", "Energy & Raw Materials", "Trade of Goods" and "Technical Barriers to Trade". Presentation of project "Energy & Raw Materials" was conducted for the first time,” the Ministry said.

The presentation considered the provisions on export prices for raw materials and goods, transit, involvement of third parties to the energy infrastructure of Azerbaijan, and creation of an independent regulatory body.

"In conclusion, a decision was made to hold a video conference in October to continue discussions," the MoE said in a statement.
