Standard Insurance does not pay AZN 2,000 to citizen - Complaint

September 24, Fineko/abc.az. Complaints and discontent about Standard Insurance have peaked in recent months. In September alone, our editorial office received 10 complaints about this company. Most dissatisfied citizens claim that Standard Insurance, under various pretexts, does not pay insurance funds due to damage to their property and does not answer calls.

So, on August 10, as a result of a collision of a Mercedes S class car with a license plate 90 TL 004, driven by Subhan Huseynov, who insured his car with Standard İnsurance, with a car with a 36 BF 854 license plate, driven by Tabriz Firudin oglu Mammadov, an accident occurred, after which Mammadov sent documents to this company.

According to the victim, who told ABC.AZ about what had happened, various obstacles and bureaucratic delays followed that. The victim said that to assess the damage caused to the car, he called to different instances, but all was in vain. But finally, after great difficulties, he got a response from Standard Insurance. The company offered Mammadov a much lower amount than the price of damage, but despite this, he accepted this amount. He explained that it turned out to be a new “distraction” of Standard Insurance: “From that day on, they demanded different documents. But as soon as I sent them the documents, the case was transferred to another appraiser, who, in turn, requested new documents. This is how they delay payment. We can say that the company has all my documents - a copy of an identity card, a bank account, my consent in connection with the assessment. But in any case, they know how to evade payment. I appealed to the Financial Markets Supervision Authority, but Standard Insurance was able to deceive them, telling them that they allegedly are waiting for my consent in connection with the assessment, although I presented my consent statement ten times,” the victim said.
