New rules for getting targeted social assistance

12:29 - 5.06.2020

June 5, Fineko/abc.az. Some changes have been made to the conditions for providing state targeted social assistance.

ABC.AZ was informed at the Ministry of Labor & Social Protection that the document on TSA provides for 11 changes to Article 5 of the Law and the issuance of a new version of Article 10.

According to one of the amendments, changes in the family composition and the lack of information about it will not entail the refusal to provide TSA or the termination of payment of assistance assigned to a particular family. In other words, only changes in the amount of family income will be taken into account. The family can report changes in the level of income within 5 to 15 business days.

The bill also envisages the creation of a mechanism for attracting to self-employment the families for which targeted social assistance is assigned.

Along with this, a draft of amendments to the Rules for applying for TSA, its appointment, issuance and refusal to give it has been prepared. According to these rules, the loan received by the family is not counted as its income, and the loan taken is not a hindrance in obtaining social assistance.

Another innovation is to reduce the information required when applying for TSA.

This will facilitate the availability of TSA for low-income families.
