EU awards a grant to Georgia to overcome Covid-19 consequences

December 14, Fineko/abc.az. The European Union has awarded a grant of 60 million euro to Georgia to overcome the crisis caused by the coronavirus pandemic.

ABC.AZ reports that this is the first tranche of the grant in the total amount of 75 million euro.

"The goal is to help implement the anti-crisis economic plan. The plan includes reducing the negative impact caused by the pandemic, preserving jobs, supporting businesses and strengthening the health system," the EU said in a statement.
