Zelensky: Ukraine is already a de facto member of EU

June 2, Fineko/abc.az. "Ukraine has already become a de facto part of the European Union," ABC.AZ quotes Vladimir Zelensky as saying this in his speech to the Luxembourg parliament.

"We’re already cooperating both at the bilateral level and at the EU level on a scale corresponding to full membership. What can prove this better than the fact that we protect each other?" Zelensky said.

Zelensky also, speaking about Russian President Vladimir Putin, said: "Let's put an end to this man's destruction of European values. If we cannot stop this man together, then this is already the dark time that we experienced in the Second World War."
