Import of Azerbaijani products grew almost 30% last year

June 9, Fineko/abc.az. Azerbaijan increased import of products by 29.7% up to $13.5 n in 2022.

ABC.AZ reports with reference to the Central Bank that $5.7 bn accounted for consumer goods, including $2.1 bn for import of foods.

In the non-oil and gas sector, imports made up 24.7% and reached $11 bn. Here, growth of imports of metal products made up 52.8%, butter - 38.6%, cereals - 32.9%, vegetable oil - 32.9%, furniture products - 32.1%, pharmaceutical products - 23.5%, wood products - 18.6%, sugar - 16.2%, perfumes and cosmetics - 13.6%, stone and glass products - 11.9%, alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages - 8.4%, detergents - 8.3%, passenger cars - 8.2%, and tobacco products - 6.8%.
