February 3, Fineko/abc.az. The alliance of companies Tecnimont/Kinetics Technology (the "daughters" of the Italian group of companies Maire Tecnimont SpA) will build three new plants at the Baku Oil Refinery named after Heydar Aliyev.

ABC.AZ was informed at SOCAR that EPC (Engineering, Procurement & Construction, EPC) contracts were signed between BNPZ and Tecnimont/Kinetics Technology for the construction of new installations.

The signing ceremony was attended by SOCAR president Rovnag Abdullayev, Italian Ambassador to Azerbaijan Augusto Massari, chairman of board and main shareholder at Maire Tecnimont Group Fabrizio di Amato, Maire Tecnimont’s CEO Pierroberto Folgero and other senior executives of the companies.

The first contract says about the construction of a gasoline hydrotreatment plant (hydrotreatment of the gasoline fraction obtained from the catalytic cracking plant), the second one about the construction of an amine treatment plant and primary processing of liquefied gas and an LPG Merox plant (primary purification of liquefied gas and purification from mercaptan).
