Food imports observed an increase for Jan-Jun

July 17, Fineko/abc.az. Over Jan-Jun 2021 Azerbaijan imported food products for $909.66 million.

ABC.AZ reports with reference to the State Customs Committee that the cost of food imports for the same period of 2020 reached $766.46 million.

The increase in food imports was caused by a rise in the cost of imported wheat, vegetable oils, fruits and vegetables.

Import of wheat for Jan-Jun 2021 grew from $78.389 million up to $102.23 million and import of vegetable oils from $77.408 million up to $117.57 million.
