Oil gets cheaper, and Brent is at $72.39 a barrel

August 4, Fineko/abc.az. Prices for oil of standard grades are declining in Wednesday’s trading, decreasing for the third session running.

Traders in the oil market have concerns about the rapid spread of new Covid-19 Delta strain and the prospect of weakening fuel demand.

By 9:27, at the London ICE Futures Exchange the October’s Brent crude futures fell by $0.02 (0.03%) to $72.39 per barrel. Following the trading on 3 August the Brent oil futures for October fell in price by $0.48 (0.66%) to $72.41 per barrel.

By 9:27 am, at the New York Mercantile Exchange (NYMEX) the price of the September’s WTI oil futures fell by $0.19 (0.27%) to $71.37 per barrel. Following the trading on 3 August the WTI futures for September declined in price by $0.70 (0.98%) to $70.56 per barrel.
