Customs Committee responds to claims

September 13, Fineko/abc.az. The State Customs Committee has released a statement in connection with information published in a range of mass media concerning the collection of road tax and other customs payments from vehicles passing through the territory of the country.

ABC.AZ reports that the statement says that according to Article 210 of the Tax Code, the object of taxation of road tax is motor vehicles of foreign states when entering the territory of the country and leaving it.

According to this Code, motor vehicles are subject to road tax, state duty for issuing a permit regulating international road transport in the country, according to Article 24 of the Law on State Duty.

At present, customs authorities are implementing the provisions provided for by the legislation in this direction throughout the country.
