Salaries in Afghanistan to be paid in wheat


January 12, Fineko/ The Taliban government in Afghanistan has announced that the wheat payroll program will be expanded, ABC.AZ reports with reference to the foreign press.

Deputy Minister of Management & Finance of Afghanistan, Fazil Bari Fazli, stated that this was caused by financial difficulties. He said the wheat was imported from Pakistan and India.

For the first time the payment of wages by wheat was introduced in October.

At that time, everyone working in Kabul was given 10 kg a day, and engineers were given 16.5 kg of wheat.
