Ramin Bayramli: Flu vaccine not effective in case of Covid-19

16:29 - 15.12.2020

December 15, Fineko/abc.az. A briefing is currently being held at the Covid-19 Task Force under the Cabinet Ministers of Azerbaijan.

ABC.AZ reports that at the briefing TƏBIB chairman Ramin Bayramli touched upon a range of issues.

He noted that flu vaccination may not play a role in the case of Covid-19.

Bayramli theoretically explained how vaccines will affect Covid-19: "A vaccine is killed or weakened microorganisms, or some antigenic substances that they secrete. The main principle of the vaccination process is the formation of an immune response to a specific pathogen. Flu vaccination is powerless for Covid-19. But the vaccine against hepatitis cannot affect the flu.”
