December 28, Fineko/abc.az. The World Trade Organization (WTO) and the International Monetary Fund (IMF) have released information on the trade of coronavirus vaccines in the world.

ABC.AZ reports that China, the country with the largest population, is the leader. So, this country has produced 4.5 bn doses of the vaccine, and 45% of global production accounts for it.

The European Union took the 2nd place with 2.25 bn doses. The share of vaccines produced in the EU in total production made up 22.4%.

India is in the 3rd place (15.6%) with 1.6 bn doses, the U.S - in the 4th position (8.4%) with 847.5 million doses, Russia - in 5th with 232.9 million doses (2.3%).

Top 10 also includes South Korea (1.6%), Brazil (1.2%), Mexico (1%), Thailand (0.7%) and South Africa (0.6%). 1.3% of the total vaccine production (126 million doses) account for other countries.
