Azerbaijan and Armenia agreed basic principles of peace treaty

October 11, Fineko/abc.az. Azerbaijan and Armenia have reached agreements on the fundamental points of the peace treaty, it remains to implement them.

ABC.AZ reports that Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu said this in an interview for TVNET.

"An agreement was reached on the principal points - there were five of them. This includes recognition of each other's territorial integrity, demarcation of borders, etc. It remains only to implement them," Cavusoglu said.

The minister noted that Armenia and Azerbaijan need to reach a sustainable peace agreement.

The FM emphasized that the process of normalization of Turkish-Armenian relations will begin after negotiations on a peace treaty between Yerevan and Baku.

He said that the Prague meeting between Armenian PM Nikol Pashinyan and Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan was held in a positive way.
