"One of the priorities of our Agency's activity in 2023 is involvement of mineral deposits located in the Karabakh and Eastern Zangezur economic regions in the economic turnover," ABC.AZ reports, quoting Geological Exploration Agency’s chairman of board Ali Aliyev as saying this at a briefing.

"In accord with the approved Action Plan on the Great Return to the Karabakh and Eastern Zangezur economic regions, the Agency will carry out work on the exploitation of mineral deposits and protection of the subsoil. At the initial stage, we plan to issue permits for the use of mineral deposits in these territories for implementation of construction projects relating to reconstruction and rehabilitation in Karabakh and East Zangezur economic regions," Aliyev emphasized.
