April 16, Fineko/abc.az. We are going to strengthen the activities of hospitals in Azerbaijan. For this purpose, new laboratories will be created in Sheki and Sumgayit. Doctors have arrived in Azerbaijan from Turkey for this purpose. Doctors will work in hospitals in Baku and the districts of Azerbaijan for three months.

ABC.AZ reports that the above-mentioned statement was made at today’s briefing by WHO’s representative in Azerbaijan Hande Harmanji.

According to WHO’s rep, the goal of this project is to support Azerbaijan's fight against coronavirus:

"The doctors I’ve mentioned were trained for a week in Izmir before coming here and were flown to Baku by the government of Azerbaijan. This project testifies about the high level of relationships between Turkey and Azerbaijan. The procedure, which would have lasted for months, was resolved in the shortest possible time."
