April 24, Fineko/abc.az. Over the past 24 hours 44 cases of coronavirus infection have been registered in Azerbaijan, 65 people were cured and released home.

ABC.AZ reports that the data was informed by the Operational Headquarters of the Cabinet of Ministers.

The analysis samples taken from a citizen born in 1935 for the presence of COVID-19 were positive, and as a result, the citizen died. It is noted that he suffered from arterial hypertension, atherosclerotic cardio-sclerosis, and coronary heart disease.

Currently, 1,592 cases of coronavirus infection have been identified, of which 1,013 people have been cured, 21 people have died, and 558 continue to be treated in special-regime hospitals. The condition of 16 of them is assessed as severe, 23 as moderate, the condition of the rest is stable.

Over the past period 114,410 tests were conducted in connection with the detection of new cases of infection.
