Food prices rise by 18%

August 15, Fineko/abc.az. World inflationary processes have also been observed throughout the country, which gives grounds to say that supply channels have a greater influence on price growth. Inflation was associated with both internal and external factors, with the highest price hike recorded for foodstuffs (18.4%), ABC.AZ reports with reference to the semi-annual data of the Accounts Chamber on the execution of the state budget for 2022.

The growth of producer price indices and imported products over the period under review gave grounds to conclude that inflation is formed to a greater extent from supply channels.  So, there is an increase in price indices of most manufacturers; in January-May, imports of products increased by 21% compared to the same period last year.
