May 23, Fineko/abc.az. The export of cotton fiber from Azerbaijan to Turkmenistan has begun, ABC.AZ reports with reference to the Ministry of Economy.

Thus, cotton fiber export to Turkmenistan was started by cotton producers operating in Azerbaijan - companies MKT IK, Azərpambıq and P-Agro. 30,000 tons of cotton fiber will be sent by ships to Turkmenistan at the initial stage.

In the future, along with cotton fiber, it is planned to export other cotton processing products to Turkmenistan, which will contribute to development of economic cooperation between Azerbaijan and Turkmenistan, including logistics and trade ties.

The Mingachevir Industrial Park, together with Uzbekistan and Turkmenistan, is working on development of the textile industry, as well as creation of new production areas.
