Average yield of tobacco leaf increased – Report

December 24, Fineko/abc.az. Tobacco leaf harvesting is approaching to the end in Azerbaijan. So far, farmers have gathered 6,936 tons of tobacco and transferred 6,520 tons of dry tobacco to reception points.

ABC.AZ reports with reference to the Ministry of Agriculture that the average yield indicators have increased this year. According to the results of last year, the average yield in tobacco production was 19.3 centners.

Although the harvest process is not complete this year, the average yield is higher than last year. Currently, the average yield of tobacco leaf is 22.1 centners (by 2.8 centners more than last year).
