June 30, Fineko/abc.az. Grain harvesting continues in 61 districts of Azerbaijan. In general, cereals were harvested from 49% of the sown areas, including barley - from 75%, ABC.AZ reports with reference to the Ministry of Agriculture.

1,503 combine harvesters are involved in the harvesting process, 649 of them are on the balance sheet of the district divisions of Agroservice. 854 harvesters, privately owned by individuals and legal entities, were also involved in the harvesting.

In six districts of the republic - Agdam, Agjabedi, Barda, Saatli, Sabirabad and Samukh - the average wheat yield is 40-50 quintals.

To date, summer plowing has been carried out on 87,327 hectares, re-sowing of corn on 5,300 hectares in 46 districts. Most of the summer plowing was carried out in Neftchala (18,870 ha), Kurdamir (10,706 ha), Sheki (8,195 ha) districts.
